November 2, 2026 Austral Nepalese Community Club (ANCC) delivered a spirited campaign at the 3rd edition of the Macarthur Nepalese Community Club (MNFC) Cup on Sunday, November 1, 2026, claiming two memorable victories before bowing out in third place in their group.Kicking off at 8:00 AM, the tournament brought fierce competition from across the community. ANCC faced an immediate test in their opening fixture against Parra Park FC, falling to a 3–0 defeat as the squad worked to find its early rhythm.
Refusing to let the opening result define their tournament, ANCC bounced back with authority in their second match against Laliguras FC. Forward Yubaraj Lama proved to be the difference-maker, finding the back of the net once in each half to secure a vital 2–0 victory. ANCC’s defensive resilience was also on full display, surviving a tense moment when Laliguras FC missed from the penalty spot to preserve the clean sheet.
Riding that momentum into their third group fixture against hosts Macarthur Nepalese FC (White), ANCC engaged in a tight, tactical battle. After a scoreless opening period, Nirajan Shrestha broke the deadlock in the second half, scoring the lone goal of the match to seal a hard-fought 1–0 win and keep ANCC’s knockout hopes alive.
Needing a result in their final group game, ANCC ran into a dominant Nepal United FC side. Despite the squad's best efforts, Nepal United’s clinical attack proved too strong, handing ANCC a 6–0 defeat - a result underscored by Nepal United going all the way to win the final and lift the 2026 MNFC Cup trophy.
ANCC concluded the group stage in third place with 6 points from four matches (two wins, two losses) and a goal difference of -6. With only the top two teams advancing to the knockout rounds, the club’s tournament campaign came to a close at the end of the group phase.
